I encountered news about a lady who was sentenced for downloading music on the internet and making a business out of it. It made quite a big impression on me as I also get music from the internet. I didn’t care much about legal MP3 downloads until I read about that particular news. My friends and I even spent an afternoon coffee to discuss about the legality of downloading music on the internet. I mean the World Wide Web is so vast. It must be very challenging for authorities and music producer in dealing this problem. With so many sites offering free music or videos nailing culprits can be very complicated.

The arrest of the woman who illegally sold music downloads is ought to give us all a lesson. It may be a precautionary tale for those who get music from the net. But it can probably be a start of much bigger crackdown on ‘pirates’ on the internet.
