Medieval armor gears like battle helmets have saved many a good head throughout the medieval battles. These items may look unwieldy but they sure make for good protection. They are made from thick metals that can protect a man from a hard blow to the head.

There are many types of battle helmets, and the most interesting ones belong to the medieval warriors, and those that were used by the conquistadors. While the ones used by the medieval men were mere protectors against brute strength, those of the Spanish conquerors looked quite elegant.
